A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic story, or maybe...

Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were sitting under a tree near the barn, looking bored as they tried to come up with something fun to do. Suddenly they heard a crash followed by Applejack crying out, "Tarnation! Ain't that just a whoppin' heap o' bad luck!" As she righted the fallen bushel baskets the young fillies scampered over and helped her pick up dozens of spilled apples. Applejack was muttering and fuming to herself the whole time.

Apple Bloom gave her sister a worried look and asked, "What happened, sis?"

Rainbow Dash rolled back and sank into the soft, fluffy cloud, the only one in the skies over Ponyville. With a contented sigh she closed her eyes. Despite her misty resting spot the sun's heat had no trouble permeating her sleek body on that hot day. The slight breeze was only the barest whisper in her ears, drowned out by the calls of cicadas and occasional chirping birds. The only other sound was the soft and nearly continuous grating of Big Macintosh's plow tilling the soil directly below.

Cosmo and Wanda Goldfish Studyby *Fairy-Slayer

As I was looking for stuff to post today for ~UchihaPrincess16 as examples I came across these two pictures are from a comic I did a long time ago. (95% of the panels can't be posted here. Sorry.) Even though the bowls are pretty much the same I'd forgotten that one was hand-drawn and the other was vector ("pen tool"). It's hard to decide which one has more charm, but Cosmo and Wanda (all hand-drawn) look pretty neat in both, IMO.

This was pretty much their best forms ever. I can hear them laughing in my head too.

I loved this show, just like MLPFIM, it taught lessons.

Mostly "Be careful what you wish for!" but yes, some episodes out the importance of things we take for granted or even find annoying. The lessons were much more subtle though. Very different styles but both shows are great takes on life's magic, along with the other kind.

I still haven't seen the live-action movie... but I'm not sure I want to risk all my happy memories of the show.

Apparently they decided to finish off the show once and for all: A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! And the big question is finally answered, or so it's been hinted. (I avoid spoilers so I'll have to watch it someday.)

A friend saw my comment and loaned me the DVD, but I'm hesitant... On the other hand, the Ben 10 Alien Swarm was very good except that the actors didn't look at all like the cartoon models.

_{Friends and I used to play "birthday" where we'd look at "Today's Birthdays" on IMDb and figure out which person would best fit which cartoon character. (Once we found the perfect Helga Pataki. )}

If I get the courage to watch it I'll let you know if it was worth it.

Okay, I finally watched "Grow Up Timmy Turner!" and, if it ever happens to be on, then you can watch... C-SPAN or golf.

Thanks for the kind words. Too bad I forgot Wanda's eyelashes though. Eep! You're right though that they're best when laughing: To me that means everything has turned out all right in the end.
